An eldritch affrontery from this unique imprint named after and reputedly operated by the garrulous town drunk from H.P. LOVECRAFT’s “The Shadow Over Innsmouth.” This one, allegedly a children’s book, (even more) allegedly published for the Arkham-Dunwich school district and subtitled, “being a Compilation of Life’s Lessons in Rhyme for Squamous Spawn” is a poetical alphabet book in the traditional manner of such: “A is for Arkham,/ B for the book / a Curious fool from the library took. / D for the Demon, which filled him with dread. / Eldritch, of course, it bit off his head.” and so on. Illustrated on every page of the poem’s text by ALLEN KOSZOWSKI. With an introduction by Zebulon Whateley III, chairman of the board of education for the Arkham-Dunwich School District. Needless to say, this is hilariously scary and subversive fun. An earlier version of the text was once published in WEIRD TALES. SIGNED BY SCHWEITZER.
