Amos & Boris by William Steig First published in 1972, this is the 1975 first Picture Lions Paperback Edition Scarce hard to find vintage edition of this popular classic children’s book William Steig (1907 – 2003) was an American cartoonist, illustrator and writer of children’s books best known for the picture book Shrek, which inspired the film, as well as many other including this one, Able’s Island. He was the U.S. nominee for both of the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Awards as a children’s book illustrator in 1982 and a writer in 1988. Cover, binding and all pages are intact.
