This is the companion piece to the classic tornado reference book “Significant Tornadoes 1680-1991” and to the newly released “Significant Tornadoes 1974-2022”. Picking up where “Significant Tornadoes 1680-1991” left off, this comprehensive update includes statistics, photos and illustrations concerning tornado activity (many of which are exclusive to this publication and not included in the recently published “Significant Tornadoes 1974-2022”). Also exclusive to this publication, author Thomas P. Grazulis includes 16 pages of documentation concerning lightning strikes (including details of every lightning strike from 1992-1995 that caused a fatality). This update is truly a treasure trove of information for the extreme weather enthusiast. Working in conjunction with the Tornado Project of Environmental Films and the author himself, these “unread” copies of this vintage publication are exclusively available here. These are copies that were printed during the original release but were then put into storage.
