First published in Germany in 1937 & helped make Rommel’s reputation as it is an account of his growth as an officer in WW I where he ultimately was given the Pour Le Merite, the Blue Max,for his bravery. While parts were published by the US Army in WW II, this edition is the first complete, unabridged version of the book printed in America.
