Pope Urban VI (1378-1389) encouraged the multiplication of written copies of the Revelations of St. Bridget since they did not have printing presses at that time. Many other prayers date back to the 18th century. They were first published in Toulouse, France in 1740. Pope Pius IX heard about them and approved them in1862. Many of these prayers offer indulgences along your spiritual journey. This is exactly the same as the smaller Blue Book of Prayers, but now in large print for those of us who need it.
